My research involves applications of the idea of Industry 4.0, which descibes the “fourth industrial revolution”, moving the manufacturing industry in the direction of flexible, customized production. In particular, I am researching the optimization of a network of production units in a smart factory. This optimization will increase the feasibility of producing different types of parts with minimal reconfiguration time. In addition, I am researching the application of deep neural networks for feature extraction of electronic nose signals.
I have a passion for research and engineering that involves automation and machine learning. I find it very satisfying to observe a system autonomously adapting to changing circumstances.
