Design and Development of an Autonomous Hexacopter Platform for Aerial Imaging and Research

ACIS is currently finalizing the design and development of a fully autonomous hexacopter platform for research and development purposes.
The platform features a custom designed frame for aerial imaging purposes. The frame was developed and build as a Capstone design project in close cooperation with Accuas Inc. The navigation systems and on-board electronics are based on the Arducopter platform. The platform features a fold-able design and six motors for increased payload carrying capacity.

Hexacopter frame custom designed by Autumn Alexis, Jason Mayer and Andrew Boitchenko for their Capstone project in April 2012.
